Intersection closure at Frankston-Dandenong Road

We’re fast-tracking works to upgrade the intersection of Thompsons Road and Frankston-Dandenong Road.

With the Thompsons Road duplication and level crossing removal complete, we’re now working to finish the final piece of the project: upgrading the intersection of Thompsons Road and Frankston-Dandenong Road.

So far, we’ve relocated and protected essential services, removed the centre medians, installed new drainage and started to dig out and remove soil to accommodate the new lanes.

From 7pm Friday 5 June, we’ll need to close the intersection for five weeks and will open the new intersection at 5am on Monday 13 July, four months earlier than planned.

Significant delays are expected. To reduce delays to your travel time, please plan ahead and avoid the area where possible.

When travelling through the area, signed detours will be in place to help you get where you need to be.
