Covid 19

EASTERN SWARD COVID-19 DETAILS – latest update July 12.

As you are aware, COVID-19 or the Coronavirus as it is more commonly known has created global health concerns regarding the disease and its infection rates.

Golf Australia has provided further assistance and guidance to our club and facilities on this important topic.

Please note, all information communicated by Golf Australia to date will be located on their website at https://www.golf.org.au/covid-19/.  Communications moving forward will contain only new information and updates.

It is Golf Australia’s recommendation to clubs and facilities that advice from the Australian Government’s Department of Health should be monitored closely over the coming days and weeks, as well as the Australian Government’s Smartraveller website.  Advice may change from day to day.

The Match Committee have gone to great lengths to work out a suitable timesheet to keep members playing weekly competitions, it was not easy. We are all flying blind with the Covid-19 restrictions so please try to work with everyone so we can continue to enjoy playing golf in some capacity.

There may be some backing up of groups and slow play as we adjust to these new playing conditions, please do not whinge or complain about it, just relax, enjoy and remember you are still on the golf course. It would only take one case of Covid-19 for the course to be closed for the duration of the lockdown. If we all follow the rules and use common sense where necessary we should be good.

These restrictions are in place with all previous restrictions, except this time, we are allowed to continue to play.

Good Golfing
